ABS now provides technical review services electronically through the ABS Plan Approval System, allowing for drawings to be submitted electronically with a comprehensive web based support structure for engineers to review and address technical issues associated with your project.

The new electronic review process and procedures were developed in response to ABS’ overall strategic initiative to enhance customer service. Upon opening a secure account, submittals, drawing comments and approval letters can be shared electronically — saving time and money.

Benefits

• No longer will the submission of three hard copies of drawings be required. (Except onboard vessel manuals such as Loading Manual, Trim & Stability Information or P&A Manual).
• You can log on and see the progress of your plan review status.
• Shipyards or design companies can view vendor status — the plan review status submitted by vendors for your project.
