Drillship Success Continues With Globetrotter
Noble has signed contracts for the construction of the first of a new series of harsh environment, dynamically positioned, ultra-deepwater drillship with South Korea’s STX Heavy Industries. ABS has been selected to class the new vessel. Dutch-based design and construction firm Huisman Equipment B.V. will complete the installation and commissioning of the topsides equipment in the Netherlands. Read more. |

OSV Nor Valiant Joins ABS Classed Fleet
The Nor Valiant newbuild OSV becomes one of the latest to join the ABS classed fleet of offshore supply and support vessels. ABS currently classes approximately one third of these industry workhorses which have become increasingly sophisticated in order to handle the demands of ultra deepwater exploration and production. Jubilee Victory for Class Society

ABS continues to build on its relationship with United Arab Emirates-based Maritime Industrial Services (MIS) by classing two more newbuild jackups for Bahrain-based MENAdrill. Currently 93 percent of the newbuild jackups worldwide are building to ABS standards. Read more. |
