The content of these Guidance Notes is, in general, based on ABS experience, the Installation
Specifications and Handbooks of Gaztransport and Technigaz for membrane type LNG carriers taking
into consideration the construction and installation practices of the most experienced shipyards in the construction of LNG carriers. These Guidance Notes provide advice relative to the construction, inspection and survey of typical Membrane Cargo Containment System technologies fitted on today’s LNG carriers.
