ABS to Class LNG-fueled Short-sea Containerships for Nordic Hamburg
ABS has been chosen to class two LNG-fueled containerships to be built in China for German owner GNS Shipping/Nordic Hamburg.
The 1,400 teu vessels will feature dual-fuel propulsion enabling them to burn LNG and conventional bunker fuel.
ABS Selected to Class the World’s First Very Large Ethane Carrier
ABS has been chosen to class the world’s first contracted series of very large ethane carriers. The ships, which will be built in Korea by Samsung Heavy Industries for an Asian shipowner, represent another gas ship milestone for ABS.
