ABS Nautical Systems Signs Long-term Contract in the Philippines

Aboitiz Jebsen Ship Management has signed a contract with ABS Nautical Systems to convert their current fleet management system to NS5 Enterprise. The Manila-based company will implement the Maintenance & Repair, Purchasing & Inventory, Vetting, Energy & Environmental Manager and HSQE modules. NS5 Enterprise will also be interfaced with Aboitiz Jebsen's ERP system through the Accounts Payable and Purchasing interface.
 
The conversion will take place on Aboitiz Jebsen's fleet and the company’s central office. The contract for the software also covers installation on any additional vessels added to the Abooitiz Jebsen fleet over the next three years.

Implementation will take place on three vessels initially to make sure maximum functionality is in place ahead of installation on the remainder of the fleet. During this stage, Aboitiz Jebsen’s personnel will familiarize themselves with the process to garner ability to carry out the additional installations.
