T he Nor Valiant newbuild OSV becomes one of the latest to join the ABS classed fleet of offshore supply and support vessels. ABS currently classes approximately one third of these industry workhorses which have become increasingly sophisticated in order to handle the demands of ultra deepwater exploration and production.

The newly built OSV was constructed at the P.T. Jaya Asiatic Shipyard, Batam, Indonesia. The Nor Valiant is slated for service with Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) offshore Egypt. ABS has rated its anchor holding ability at super high holding power (SHHP) and granted a dynamic positioning notation of DPS-2.
