The FPSO is a conversion taking place in Singapore.  This will be the second ABS classed FPSO in the region with the recently classed FPSO Tui already in service.  The Tui oil project was New Zealand's first stand alone offshore oil development.

The FPSO Maari is undergoing major modifications with installation of an internal turret, three on-deck boilers to generate up to 20MW of power, renewal of the entire piping and electrical systems, and installation of process facilities including crude separation, water injection and chemical injection.
