ABS surveyors and personnel, together with MIS officials, celebrate the steel cutting for the third ABS classed newbuild jackup at the UAE yard.

MIS Hull 104, based upon the Friede & Goldman (F&G) Super M2 design and originally being built for MOSVOLD, was launched on 12 December 2007.

The launching was accomplished by placing the hull on the ‘Self Propelled Modular Transporter’ (SPMT), which was driven onto a semi submersible barge and the barge subsequently submerged, leaving the hull afloat.
