Doha International Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition



ABS participation at the fifth Doha International Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition provided an opportunity for technical and class related discussion with various clients and players in the LNG market. BS participated in this year’s fifth international natural gas conference in
Doha. With new long term supply agreements developing for Qatari gas along with the design and constructionof some of the world’s largest LNG trains, port facilities and other related infrastructure projects, ABS provided technical information and class guidelines for these specialized transport vessels.

ABS announced the establishment of a new Middle East Region headquarters in Doha, Qatar at the end of 2004 . The office further strengthens ABS ties to the energy sector, particularly the growing production and shipment of LNG from Qatar. ABS is a leader in providing classification services to the energy sector. 26 percent of the current LNG orderbook is classing to ABS standards.
