Approved products required
by ABS Rules for Classification, are part of the
ABS Approved Manufacturers and Products Database. Each product
is tested extensively to ensure that it will perform reliably in
the marine and offshore environment. These products are all specified
by the ABS Rules for Building and Classing.

This program
is separate from the Type
Approval process, where manufacturers elect to have ABS
surveyors review their products.
