ABS surveyors provided on-site support for the building of the Rowan Scooter Yeargain new build jackup at the LeTourneau yard in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Effective communications between ABS and LeTourneau led to a record review timeframe for the classification of Scooter Yeargain.

Classed as an XA1 Self-Elevating Drilling Unit, the Scooter Yeargain is the first of four newly designed units called Tarzan, all which will be built at the LeTourneau yard. ABS has already begun the design review process for classing the second Tarzan unit, dubbed Bob Keller...read more
