ABS Provides Offshore Industry With Guidance Notes For Building and Classing Offshore LNG Terminals

With strong industry interest in offshore LNG terminals, ABS is introducing to the industry at this year’s Offshore Technology Conference a comprehensive document providing guidelines for the building and classing of offshore LNG terminals.

This Guidance Notes For Building and Classing Offshore LNG Terminals is a roadmap outlining the procedures on how ABS handles the classification for these installations along with the cross referencing of ABS and other appropriate industry documents for guidance when building LNG terminals.

Todd Grove, ABS Director of Offshore Project Development will present "Classification Interface with the GOM FPSO Regulatory Regime."
This presentation will detail the activities of the classification societies with respect to deepwater floating production units in the Gulf of Mexico, the extension to Floating Production, Storage and Offloading units, and the synergies that these services represent relative to the MMS and USCG regulations.
