rnesto Valenzuela, P.E., has joined ABS
as Manager of Offshore Technology. He is responsible for
the development |
of rules, guides and standards relating to classification and
certification of offshore structures and facilities. He also
will coordinate ABS engineering offices with the organization’s
leading Corporate Technology group to effectively support the
needs of the offshore industry.
Prior to joining ABS, Valenzuela operated his own consulting
firm, EV Consulting, Inc., where he performed professional
engineering services in global analysis, random vibrations,
structural dynamics and offshore and subsea engineering applications.
During his 28-year career, he also has worked with Chevron,
Exxon, Texaco, Aker Engineering, Cameron Iron Works and Petrobras.
Valenzuela holds a doctorate in structural dynamics and
ocean engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and
is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
