The
67th Session of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) met from 2 -
6 December 1996 in London. More than one third (79 Member States)
of the total Contracting Governments to the SOLAS Convention were
present, thus enabling the expanded Committee to take
action on a number of amendments to the SOLAS Convention. Several
guidelines were also issued to facilitate compliance with the Conventions.
