Maritime Safety Committee's 69th Session
May 1998

The 69th Session of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) met from 11 to 20 May 1998 in London. More than one third of the total Contracting Governments to the SOLAS Convention were present, thus enabling the "expanded" Committee to take action on a number of amendments to the SOLAS Convention. Several guidelines were also issued to facilitate compliance with the Conventions.
